The council
€4,792,990 in 2025 — and none of it reached Killardry
Five funds were allocated across the county in 2025. Each one covers a defect documented at Killardry Bridge. The bridge received nothing from any of them.
| 2025 fund | Amount |
|---|---|
| Bridge Rehabilitation | €1,070,000 |
| Speed Limits Review Signs | €940,000 |
| Drainage Works | €1,073,000 |
| Climate Change Adaptation & Resilience | €938,490 |
| Safety Improvement Works | €771,500 |
| Total | €4,792,990 |
From the same report, other structures in the county were funded that year:
- Balleiragh Bridge scheme (to mitigate flooding of a section of this road)
- Garransilly Bridge works (completed)
- Ardfinnan Bridge — €120,000
- Rossadrehid — €100,000
- River Suir package (Camus, Ballycarron, Ardmayle, Newcastle) — €500,000
Kilmoyler is where the Aherlow meets the Suir. — so a “River Suir” package cannot cleanly exclude it.
